Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to accurately administer medications, document, and follow facility policies.
• Ability to read, interpret procedures and communicate with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document the oral/topical medications as ordered.
• Follow facility policies and procedures governing medication administration.
• Identify and report medication errors and participate in QA activities.
• Maintain accurate medication records and assist with vital signs as needed.
