Job summary

Spring Fields Senior Living is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering and documenting medications for residents, under the supervision of nursing leadership. The role requires adherence to state regulations, facility policies, and ongoing commitment to resident safety.

You will collaborate with the Nursing Services team, maintain accurate medication records, and participate in quality assurance and incident reporting as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications as ordered.
• Verify medications brought by new residents are examined and identified by the attending physician or facility pharmacy.
• Follow facility policies for destroying medications and labeling, charting, and reporting errors.
• Document and report medication errors or adverse reactions to Nursing Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and report suspected violations as required.
