Job summary

FORESTHILLS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders and supervision. You will ensure compliance with nursing standards, complete required documentation, and collaborate with the nursing team.

The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to facility procedures, and a commitment to resident safety and confidentiality. Prior experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training.
• Ability to read, interpret physician orders and follow facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician under supervision.
• Document medication administration accurately and report any discrepancies.
• Note and report errors in medication administration to appropriate supervisor.
• Follow facility policies and procedures governing medication handling and disposal.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and medication-related committees.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
