Job summary

Trinity Rehabilitation & Healthcare Company, LLC is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician. Responsibilities include ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to nursing standards within the facility.

You'll verify incoming medications, assist with charting, and follow all policies under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by attending physician.
• Verify medications brought in by new residents are examined/identified.
• Follow facility labeling policies and ensure proper labeling.
• Assist with medication charting as directed by nursing leadership.
• Follow charting procedures for medications and documentation.
• Assist in the disposal of discontinued medications under pharmacist/director of nursing supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and topical medications as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled and documented.
• Document vital signs and any medication reactions or refusals.
• Notify nursing leadership of any errors or adverse reactions.
• Follow facility procedures for medication receipt, storage, and order recording.
