Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech to administer medications and treatments with accuracy and dignity, following physician orders and Six Rights of Medication Administration. You will document in MAR/TAR in real time and observe residents for health changes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a medication administration certification, CPR/First Aid, strong communication, and typically prior senior care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
