Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is looking for a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity, in accordance with physician orders. You will administer treatments, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitor residents during and after passes.

You will observe symptoms, report concerns promptly, maintain accurate narcotic counts, and keep carts and rooms clean while adhering to infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
