Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity. You will administer meds per orders, follow the Six Rights, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitor residents during passes to ensure comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include narcotic counts, maintaining clean medication carts, and upholding infection control standards. Prior senior care experience is preferred, with CPR/First Aid certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills required.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
