Job summary

Waters of Wakarusa in Indiana is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role requires adherence to federal/state regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include giving oral and PRN medications, inhaler and nebulizer treatments, topical/office ointments, and documenting actions in the MAR. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a current QMA license.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have current QMA license and be able to provide documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administers oral medications, including scheduled meds.
• Administers PRN meds with nurse authorization and documentation.
• Administers inhalers and nebulizer treatments as directed by nurse.
• Applies topical/rectal ointments, nasal sprays, eye/ear drops.
• Monitors residents for adverse reactions and reports to nurse.
• Records medications given on MAR chart daily.
• Monitors vital signs and documents observations for nurse review.
• Audit and ensure accurate medication documentation.
