• Completion of State Approved Medication Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocol.
• Observe and report medication reactions and side effects to the charge nurse.
• Take and record vital signs before medications as needed.
• Document administered medications in resident MAR as required.
• Assist with daily care tasks and maintain a clean, safe medication area.
