Job summary

Caring Professionals is seeking a compassionate PRN caregiver to support residents with medication administration and daily tasks at Leisure Living in Salem. The role involves answering calls, basic cleaning and food preparation, and assisting with ongoing care needs.

Ideal candidates will administer oral and topical medications, monitor vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the charge nurse. Training opportunities may be provided; a caring, trustworthy demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with administering oral and topical medications is preferred.
• Experience taking and recording vital signs or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administrative support to our residents.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Cleaning and food prep.

If not trained as a medication aide, facility may provide certification.

Essential Duties

Administer oral medications such as capsules, tablets, liquids and topical medications such as eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, ointments, and other skin preparations.

Takes and records vital signs. Records and reports any observations and changes in resident’s condition to the charge nurse.
