Job summary

Caring Professionals is seeking a compassionate caregiver at Leisure Living - Salem to provide medication administration support and basic resident care in a small facility setting.

The role requires taking vital signs, handling phone inquiries, and assisting with daily tasks such as cleaning and food preparation, with on-site supervision. PRN shifts offer flexible hours and opportunities for certification where needed.

Qualifications

• Provide medication administration support to residents.
• Be willing to obtain certification if not trained.

• Take and record vital signs and report changes to nurse in charge.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Perform cleaning and food preparation tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administrative support to our residents.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Cleaning and food prep.

If not trained as a medication aide, facility may provide certification.

Essential Duties

Administer oral medications such as capsules, tablets, liquids and topical medications such as eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, ointments, and other skin preparations.

Takes and records vital signs. Records and reports any observations and changes in resident’s condition to the charge nurse.
