Job summary

Leisure Living - Salem is seeking a compassionate professional to support residents with medication administration and daily care. This PRN position involves assisting with medications, taking vital signs, and coordinating with nursing staff.

You may also assist with phone inquiries, cleaning, and basic food preparation as needed. Training for medication aide can be provided if not already certified. Join our dedicated team caring for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience with medication administration preferred or facility training provided.
• Ability to answer and direct phone calls clearly and professionally.
• Willingness to assist with cleaning and food preparation as needed.

• Administer oral and topical medications as directed.
• Take and record vital signs; report changes to the nurse in charge.
• Provide medication administrative support to residents.
• Answer and direct phone inquiries from residents and families.
• Assist with cleaning and food preparation as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medication administrative support to our residents.


• Answer and direct phone calls.


• Cleaning and food prep.

If not trained as a medication aide, facility may provide certification.

Essential Duties:

Administer oral medications such as capsules, tablets, liquids and topical medications such as eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, ointments, and other skin preparations.

Takes and records vital signs. Records and reports any observations and changes in resident's condition to the charge nurse.
