Job summary

The Village Assisted Living is hiring for a position that involves medication administration support for residents, answering and directing phone calls, and helping with daily tasks. Final wage depends on experience and is paid hourly.

If not trained as a medication aide, the facility will provide certification. You may also participate in cleaning and food preparation duties as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or medication administration is preferred.
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to direct calls.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral medications and topical medications to residents.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Answer and direct phone calls and assist with basic tasks.
• Cleaning and food prep as needed.

Essential Duties

Administer oral medications such as capsules, tablets, liquids and topical medications such as eye drops, ear drops, nose drops, ointments, and other skin preparations, and rectal suppositories.

Takes and records vital signs. Records and reports any observations and changes in resident’s condition to the charge nurse.
