Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Medication Aide for our Assisted Living team in Round Rock, TX. You will supervise self-administered medications, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and reporting health changes to the Wellness Director.

This role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and resident education to support high-quality care. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CNA/HHA/PCA certification, and a DHSS-approved medication administration training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification with at least one credential.
• Successful completion of the DHSS approved medication administration training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents per guidelines.
• Report health changes to Wellness Director with proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and ensure privacy.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested.
• Follow the Safety & Disaster Plan and company policies.
• Attend required trainings, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
• Promote a safe, professional environment and cooperate with all staff.

Position Summary:

The Medication Aide is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Living
residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group. This
position reports to the Wellness Director.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the AssistedLiving Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
• Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to
  the Wellness Director.
• Responds quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by
  Supervisor.
• Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of
  accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working
  practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and
  co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months
• related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
  experience.
• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid must possess at least one
  certification and have successful completion of the medication administration
  training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
