Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group in Marietta, GA is seeking a Medication Aide to supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents, under the Wellness Director. Shift 7PM–3PM.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and licensure (CNA/HH Aide/Personal Care Aide) with completion of the medication administration training; benefits include 401(k), health and life insurance, PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or related experience and/or training.
• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide must possess at least one certification and have completed the medication administration training approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents per SSMG guidelines.
• Report health changes and document to Wellness Director.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain communication with all departments and staff.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested.
• Participate in Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information.
• Attend required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Promote safety and proper equipment use; prevent accidents.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the AssistedLiving Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
• Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to
  the Wellness Director.
• Responds quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by
  Supervisor.
• Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of
  accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working
  practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and
  co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months
• related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
  experience.
• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid must possess at least one
  certification and have successful completion of the medication administration
  training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
