Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group seeks a Medication Aide to supervise self-administered medications for Assisted Living residents, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations and company guidelines. The role reports to the Wellness Director and collaborates across departments to maintain safety and accuracy in medication administration.

The ideal candidate holds CNA or related certification, with completion of approved medication training, and demonstrates strong communication,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Licensed CNA or Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide with at least one certification.
• Successful completion of the medication administration training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents per guidelines.
• Document changes in residents' health and report to Wellness Director.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and communicate with staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and communicate across departments.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by supervisor.
• Participate in Safety & Disaster Plan and attend required trainings.

Position Summary:

The Medication Aide is responsible for supervision of self-administered medication to Assisted Living residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group. This position reports to the Wellness Director.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the AssistedLiving Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.


• Reports any change in resident's health and provides proper documentation to
  The Wellness Director.


• Responds quickly to all emergencies.


• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.


• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by
  Supervisor.


• Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.


• Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information.


• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.


• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of
  accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.


• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and
  co-workers.


• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months


• related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid must possess at least one certification and have successful completion of the medication administration training course approved by the Department of Health and Senior Services.
