Job summary

Avantara Watertown is seeking a Medication Aide to join our friendly and supportive care team. You will ensure residents receive their medications, perform daily living activities, monitor changes in condition, and maintain a safe environment while delivering compassionate care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered South Dakota CNA certificate, completion of SD-approved Medication Aide training and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered SD CNA certificate.
• Completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications to residents as prescribed.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living for residents.
• Observe changes in condition and report them.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Contribute to resident education and well-being.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Watertown by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
