Avantara Watertown is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our skilled nursing team in Watertown, SD. You will administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and monitor residents to ensure safety and well-being.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent, an SD CNA certificate, and completed Medication Aide training with CPR certification. Prior CNA/MA experience is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered South Dakota C.N.A. certificate and CPR certification.
• Completion of SD-approved Medication Aide training; 1 year CNA/MA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications to residents and ensure proper administration.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living and monitor residents' condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and support resident education.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Watertown by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
