Avantara Redfield is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our compassionate Clinical team. You will ensure residents receive their medications, assist with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment.

Schedule includes every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 10:00pm. Eligible applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, an SD CNA certificate, completed SD Medication Aide training, and CPR certification; one year of CNA and

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered South Dakota CNA certificate.
• Successful completion of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive prescribed medications.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and observe changes in condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and provide education as needed.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Redfield by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
