Job summary

Avantara North is seeking a Medication Aide to join our caring team. You will be the frontline of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive their medications and daily support.

Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, maintaining a safe environment, and educating residents to promote well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Unencumbered SD CNA certificate.
• SD-approved Medication Aide training completed.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications and support residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Monitor residents' condition and report changes to the clinical team.
• Maintain a safe environment and uphold education for residents.

Education

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara North by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
