Job summary

Avantara Huron is seeking a Medication Aide to support our residents with medications, daily living activities, and safety in a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

You will work as part of a caring clinical team, using your CNA certification and Medication Aide training to deliver high-quality care, observe changes, and maintain safety and education for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered South Dakota CNA certificate required.
• Successful completion of State-approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Front-line support in the Clinical Department to ensure residents receive medications and care.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and monitor changes in condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure quality documentation and education.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Huron by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
