Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide to administer medications to residents in Burgaw, NC. You will follow physician orders under a licensed nurse, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and facility policies.

Must be registered in good standing as a medication aide, complete the QMA competency evaluation if required, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills and basic EHR use are needed.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program if your state requires.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be enrolled in a program.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate EHR software.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician.
• Work under the direction of a licensed nurse within scope of practice.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education / Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
