Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove in Wilmington, NC is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide (QMA) to administer medications to residents under a licensed nurse, following state regulations and facility policies.

Part-time shifts 7:00am–3:00pm, wage $25.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, 401K, PTO, and employee assistance, with on-demand and weekly pay options.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide.
• Completed QMA competency evaluation program if required by state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for EHR navigation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by attending Physician under nurse supervision.
• Follow nursing standards, facility policies, and state requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and patient safety during medication administration.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications:

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.

• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.

• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Shift and Wage:

• Part-Time Opportunity Available

• Shifts Needed: 7:00a - 3:00p

• Wage: $25.00 per hour
