Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking a Medication Aide at Grove Park Health & Rehab Center in Asheville, NC. You will administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse, following established nursing standards and facility policies.

This full‑time position offers 12‑hour shifts (days and nights) with negotiable wage and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental and vision coverage, 401K and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the state Medication Aide registry.
• Pass the QMA competency evaluation program if your state requires it.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills to navigate software including EHR.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
