Job summary

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CPHT and PHT certifications required on hire
- Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience; 3 years medication assistance preferred
Responsibilities
- Screens, processes and completes prior authorization, patient assistance, co-pay assistance, foundation assistance and other medication programs.
- Follows up with patients and providers on refills and reauthorizations as required by payers or assistance programs.
- Processes prescriptions through AU Health IT platforms accurately.
- Coordinates shipping and delivery with carriers to ensure timely medication delivery.
- Cross trains to provide staffing as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Complies with Wellstar Health System policies and code of conduct.
