Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Enhanced Benefits Coordinator to manage prior authorizations for key service lines. You will verify insurance and financial information, obtain precertifications, and provide benefits overviews to patients before treatment.

You will serve as a frontline contact for patients, families, providers, nurses, social workers and pharmacies. The role requires coordination with pharmacy benefits, infusion scheduling, and adherence to system policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Experience with prior authorizations and insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Process and complete prior authorizations for medical and pharmacy benefits.
• Follow up with patients and providers on refills and reauthorizations.
• Process infusion/injection appointments in AU Health IT.
• Coordinate with Medication Assistance Coordinators for specialty meds.
• Coordinate shipping of patient medications.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Department for quality and service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Comply with Wellstar Health System policies.
