Job summary

Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic (AAA), a leading allergy and asthma practice and affiliate of SENTA Partners, seeks a Centralized Biologic Coordinator to manage patient access from prescription to drug acquisition in a fast-paced Biologic Department. You will communicate with staff, providers, insurers and manufacturers, ensuring timely authorizations and enrollment in patient assistance programs.

Qualifications

• LPN/CMA licensure is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding and insurance policies is essential.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with management, hub personnel, vendors and other third parties.
• Enroll patients with manufacturer HUB for insurance verification and benefit investigation.
• Contact insurance carriers to verify eligibility, benefits, and requirements.
• Request and obtain pre-authorization/prior determination from carriers before services.
• Enroll patients in copay and patient assistance programs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA-compliant procedures.
• Communicate insurance changes or trends to the team.
• Maintain productivity and document all communications in standard records.
• Other duties as assigned.
