Job summary

Grace Health is seeking an individual to obtain prior authorizations for patients and assist with the managed care process. We offer competitive wages based on experience and up to 3 weeks of PTO in the first year.

No nights or weekend work is required, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a probationary period. Responsibilities include educating patients about prior authorizations, processing requests, and maintaining tracking systems, while collaborating with Grace Health staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Terminology required.
• Ambulatory and Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and staff about the process of medication prior authorizations.
• Processes medication prior authorization requests.
• Communicates with patients, Grace Health staff and other offices or health care agencies regarding medication prior authorization.
• Develops and maintains a tracking system for medication prior authorizations.
• Documents appropriate information in the medical record.
• Maintains current resources related to medication prior authorizations.
• May assist staff and patients with the managed care process.
