Job summary

Samaritan Specialty Pharmacy in Corvallis, OR is seeking a patient access advocate to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist and in collaboration with provider groups, you will focus on overcoming barriers to therapies, including prior authorizations and out-of-pocket costs.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely treatment and affordable medications, supporting medication access, billing, and care coordination for patients receiving specialty therapies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
• One year experience in retail pharmacy, prior authorization, financial assistance, billing and/or care coordination.
• Experience in a physician clinic setting with medication assistance duties preferred.
• All offers contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Focus services toward overcoming barriers to therapies – prior authorizations and out-of-pocket costs.
• Work under the supervision of a pharmacist and alongside provider teams to advocate for patients.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure accuracy of procured services.
• Support therapy affordability and improve time-to-treatment for patients.
• Assist with medication access and billing processes as part of care coordination.
