Job summary

Cooper Green Mercy seeks a dedicated Prescription Assistance Coordinator to help patients access prescription support programs and coordinate with providers, clinics, and pharmaceutical companies on timely access to medications.

You will manage prior authorizations, gather supporting documents, communicate with insurers, and document outcomes while advocating for patients throughout the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.
• At least one year of experience in social services/healthcare focusing on helping individuals access healthcare resources.
• Knowledge of prescription assistance programs, pharmaceutical industry practices, and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for prescription assistance programs and partners to disseminate information.
• Receive medication deliveries, verify accuracy, and maintain records.
• Document medications in EMR and notify patients of arrival.
• Identify patients needing assistance through screenings and referrals, collaborating with healthcare teams.
• Educate patients on program eligibility and application procedures.
