Are you passionate about the Medicare population and looking for an opportunity to work in sales with the ability to directly impact your income potential? Do you have a track record of building trusting relationships in the community and exceeding expectations? If so, we are seeking licensed, motivated, and self-driven individuals to join our team.

In this field position, you will build community relationships, drive self-generated sales, and meet sales goals while working independently. You will interact with Humana’s customers, external partners, and the community through face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic interactions. Face-to-face activities include grassroots marketing, community events, and visiting prospects in their homes. Our Medicare Sales Field Agents sell health plans and educate beneficiaries about our services in the field. Additional products include Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, and Prescription.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to have daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field
  • Active Health Insurance license or ability to obtain before start date
  • Experience with technology, including laptops, mobile apps, CRM tools, and sales/marketing resources
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle insurance (100/300/100 limits), and willingness to undergo Motor Vehicle Report
  • Internet connection with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; wireless, wired, or DSL
  • Work from a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
  • Must reside within the assigned territory/county
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint
  • Community engagement through service or volunteerism
  • Experience selling Medicare products
  • Bilingual in English and another language
  • Public speaking and presentation experience
Additional Information
  • Language proficiency assessments may be required for non-English speakers, including ILR testing
  • Applicants may need to provide social security numbers for leader review, via a secure Humana website

Schedule: Flexibility required for evenings and weekends due to appointments and events.

Training: First 3-4 weeks of employment, attendance mandatory.

Interview Process

We use HireVue for initial interviews. Selected candidates will receive a text invitation for a 15-minute prescreen with questions via text. Successful candidates will be contacted for next steps.

Pay Range

Estimated starting salary: $31,800 - $43,800/year, depending on location and experience. Commission incentives are available based on performance.
