Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in Montpelier, VT seeks an expert Senior Data Engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. You will design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables for the revenue projection model using Databricks/Spark, Python, and SQL in a regulated environment.

You will ingest and reconcile claims, eligibility, CMS artifacts, and chart data; enforce data quality, lineage, and auditability; collaborate on lakehouse standards; mentor engineers and define SLAs for

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years healthcare data: claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, chart sources.
• 4+ years production with Databricks / Spark, PySpark, Python, SQL; ELT patterns and orchestration.
• 4+ years experience supporting risk‑adjustment, actuarial, or finance workloads.
• Strong PHI, HIPAA and CMS data controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables feeding the Medicare revenue projection model.
• Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility/enrollment, EMR/chart extracts, CMS artifacts.
• Implement HCC / ICD-10 mapping and versioning to support modelers.
• Own data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audit.
• Partner with enterprise data/IT on Databricks lakehouse standards and CI/CD.
• Provide trusted datasets to Modeling, Finance, Actuarial, and Revenue Integrity.
• Define SLAs for freshness; monitor source changes and drift.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; establish regulated engineering practices.
• Support modular outputs for revenue, membership/mix, and other items.
