The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Reimbursement Officer I to perform routine reimbursement and claims processing at Terrell State Hospital. You will maintain patient billing records and coordinate with third-party payors.

You will prepare monthly charge reports, verify coding accuracy with physicians, and support Medicare enrollment activities. This role requires two years of claims processing experience and compliance with HHSC policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in claims processing or health-related billing.
• Familiarity with Medicare Part A/B/D, ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work scheduled hours.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine reimbursement and claims processing work.
• Maintains patient billing files and third-party payor information.
• Prepares Monthly Charge Reports from AVATAR and charts.
• Enrolls patients in Medicare drug programs and updates CARE system.
• Supports audits and maintains records on a daily basis.
• Assists in disaster response and Continuity of Operations.
