Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Medical Writer to develop scientifically accurate content across formats. From guidance, you will translate complex data into clear materials and build core competencies for those new to medical writing. Experienced writers will operate with greater independence.

As a vital member of the team, you will draft manuscripts, slides, and training materials while following AMA style and client guidelines, supporting regulatory reviews and client discussions.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life sciences or equivalent required.
• Strong interest in medical writing and scientific communication.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong time-management and ability to balance multiple projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with AMA style and reference tools (EndNote).
• Prior medical writing experience beneficial but not required; independence aligns with experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft and revise scientific content including slides, manuscripts, and training materials with supervision based on experience.
• Interpret clinical and preclinical data and translate findings into written content and visuals.
• Learn and follow AMA style and client guidelines.
• Conduct literature searches and organize references.
• Participate in internal and client meetings to support content discussions.
• Capture accurate notes and action items during meetings and incorporate feedback.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain 85% billable utilization with manager guidance.
• Track tasks, timelines, and handoffs using tools like Workfront, SharePoint, Teams.
• Track and report time accurately.
• Deliver work within budgeted hours and collaborate on regulatory/editorial materials.
