Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Medical Writer to translate complex clinical data into clear, evidence-based content across formats, under guidance for those new to the role, or with more independence for experienced writers.

This position offers a range of duties from content development to collaboration and project support, with a reasonable compensation range of $80,000-$110,000 in USD, plus discretionary bonus, health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
• Strong interest in medical writing and scientific communication.
• Detail-oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to balance work on multiple projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AMA style and reference tools (EndNote).
• Prior medical writing experience is beneficial but not required; level of independence will align with experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft and revise scientific content across formats with supervision based on experience.
• Interpret clinical data and translate findings into clear written content and visuals.
• Learn and follow AMA style and client guidelines.
• Conduct literature searches and manage references.
• Participate in meetings and capture notes and actions.
• Track tasks, timelines, and time reporting, and deliver within budgeted hours.
• Maintain 85% billable utilization with guidance from the manager.
• Collaborate with team to prepare materials for regulatory and editorial review.
