Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Medical Waste Route Driver Swing Non CDL to service accounts and ensure compliant, safe waste pickup and supply delivery. Routes may change daily to cover absences or schedule changes, delivering high level of customer service.

The role may transport waste between WM sites and customer locations, with telematics, ELD, GPS in all company vehicles. The position requires at least 1 year driving experience, a valid driver's license, 21+ years old, and ability to obtain

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience, preferably in driving Trucks and Box Trucks.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver's License.
• All CMV/CDL drivers must be able to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner.

Responsibilities

• Manages routes ensuring customers’ waste is picked up in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
• Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Plans daily schedule based on customers’ needs by reviewing daily paperwork (manifest, route sheets, etc.).
• May prepare and load trucks to service select accounts for the day.
• Pick up specified waste from each customer site and ensure proper packaging per regulations.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily and communicate issues for resolution.
• Ensures that waste, supplies, and equipment are secured prior to operating the vehicle.
• Completes paperwork legibly and accurately; maintains DOT logs if applicable.
• Communicates changes to route pickups to supervisor and notes any deviations.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on the assigned truck.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
