Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Administrative Support Clerk for the Medical Unit. This onsite role supports nursing station operations by handling clerical and receptionist duties, orders, and chart organization to ensure efficient patient care.

Under nursing supervision, you will coordinate with departments and outside agencies, manage charts and records, and assist with interpreter services as needed. Heartsaver AED certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Heartsaver AED certification required within 90 days.
• No prior experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.

Mansioni

• Performs record organization and transcription of orders by completing necessary forms and requisitions.
• Maintains nursing station records and assembles patient charts.
• Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities at the nursing station.
• Performs clerical and receptionist duties using multiple phone and computer applications; coordinates with hospital departments and outside agencies.
• Maintains the physical environment of the area.
• Orders office supplies and replacement supplies for equipment; enters help desk tickets for IS/maintenance.
• Responds to patient and family inquiries professionally; coordinates interpreter services as needed.
• Staff may be temporarily assigned to other Akron Children's Hospital areas as needed.
• Other duties as required.
