Job summary

The Float Pool Registered Nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA delivers safe patient care using the nursing process. Works nights in the Medical/Surgical Unit, providing direct care and guiding other staff as needed.

You will collaborate with physicians, monitor patients, and respond quickly to changes in condition. Requires state RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred; BSN preferred. Prior acute care and ventilator management experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate preferred within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patients' clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Overview

The Float Pool Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.

Shift's Available: Nights

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 12 hours

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to)

• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
