Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA, seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse for night shift to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and to support care for patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit.

Requirements include valid GA RN license, BLS, ACLS (within 30 days, preferred), prior acute care experience, and BSN preferred. Benefits include health, dental, vision, vacation, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Georgia RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in Medical/Surgical Unit using nursing process.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians.
• Respond quickly to condition changes and treatment responses.

Hours: 12 hours

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

The Float Pool Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
