Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Medical Technologist I for night shifts to perform routine and high-complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluids. You will ensure accurate results by following QC protocols and maintaining instruments, while supporting patient care and data collection for regulatory compliance.

The role may involve teaching and phlebotomy duties. A bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field is required, with 0–2 years of acute care experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW) required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate/high complexity lab tests accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and document results.
• Maintain instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and notify appropriate personnel.
• Collect data for regulatory compliance and accreditation.
