Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field as required.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW).
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and documents results.
• Conducts instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and Laboratory Safety Plan.
• Communicates findings with peers and supervisors and supports regulatory data collection.
• Assists with proficiency testing and accreditation activities.
• Performs phlebotomy duties and collects urine drug screens as needed.
• Maintains accurate records and complies with department policies.
