Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Connecticut. The role focuses on analyzing blood, fluids, and tissues with strong emphasis on accuracy and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Medical Technology (NAACLS MT or MLT cert) and MT-ASCP certification or eligibility within the first year. New grads welcome; authorized to work in the U.S. required. Day shift, 40 hours per week.

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Medical Technologist, for our Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

Our vision is to provide state‑of‑the‑art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for providing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples.

What you will do:

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures
• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Position Hours:

• 40 hours, Day Shifts, e/o weekend and rotating holidays

What you need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from a accredited college/university and successful completion of NAACLS accredited MT program or MLT certification program.
• Certification: MT-ASCP or equivalent level certification offered by one of the professional societies. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
• Experience: New Grads Welcome, experience preferred.
