Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Connecticut. The role focuses on analyzing blood, fluids, and tissues with strong emphasis on accuracy and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Medical Technology (NAACLS MT or MLT cert) and MT-ASCP certification or eligibility within the first year. New grads welcome; authorized to work in the U.S. required. Day shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology required.
• MT-ASCP certification or eligible within first year of employment.
• New grads welcome; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
• Counts and identifies blood cells using microscopic techniques.
• Ensures operation of analyzers and equipment by calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventorying.
