Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist for the Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital. You will perform chemical analyses of body fluids, count and identify blood cells, and ensure the proper operation and maintenance of analyzers and equipment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, MT-ASCP or equivalent (or eligible within the first year), and new grads are welcome. 40 hours weekly, day shifts with weekend rotation and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college/university.
• MT-ASCP or equivalent certification, or eligible to take within the first year.
• New grads welcome; experience preferred.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship provided.

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Medical Technologist, for our Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

What you will do:

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures
• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Position Hours:

• 40 hours, Day Shifts, e/o weekend and rotating holidays

What you need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from a accredited college/university and successful completion of NAACLS accredited MT program or MLT certification program.
• Certification: MT-ASCP or equivalent level certification offered by one of the professional societies. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
• Experience: New Grads Welcome, experience preferred.
