Job summary

Patient First is seeking qualified lab personnel to join our care teams. The role involves performing high-quality lab analyses, following procedures, handling specimens, and reporting results promptly.

A sign-on bonus is available and on-site lab work across our centers. The position requires a high school graduate or higher, knowledge of lab techniques, CPR certification, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Minimum typing experience.
• Must meet education requirements: college hours or degrees as listed, or equivalent training.
• Military training or prior lab experience acceptable.
• Two years of clinical lab testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and rapid lab results with knowledge of analyses, procedures, equipment, and safety.
• Follow procedures for specimen collection, handling, processing, and reporting test analyses and maintain records.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Order lab supplies in the medical record system under physician orders.
• Assist physicians, extenders, and nurses with patient treatment and care, including triage and preparation for physicals.
• Handle requests with respect and in a timely manner.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems affecting test performance or reporting.
• Understand checklists and perform duties on them during shift.
• Use correct medical terminology and keep updated on policies.
