Patient First in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician for a part-time role. You will provide quality and rapid lab results and follow procedures for specimen collection, handling, and test analyses.

The position requires knowledge of QC, instrument calibration, and ability to multitask in a busy lab while supporting Physicians, Extenders, and Nurses. CPR certification and ability to lift 20-50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and high school graduate; college coursework in chemistry/biology or MLS-related field preferred.
• Completion of one of the following: 60 semester hours with related courses OR an associate/bachelor degree in MLS-related field OR one year of technician training OR military Medical Laboratory Procedures course.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality and rapid lab results with proper procedures and safety.
• Follow specimen collection, handling, processing, and test analyses procedures; maintain records of results.
