HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX invites you to join as Medical Technologist PRN. Under the general supervision of the Director or Laboratory Services, you will provide clinical laboratory services in accordance with departmental standards, supporting patient care across the hospital.

Responsibilities include data collection, performance improvement, communication with Medical Staff, notifying supervisors of unusual requests, teaching new staff, and performing related duties as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• MLS/MLT certification must be obtained within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists in data collection for statistical surveys or reports.
• Participates in performance improvement activities within the Department.
• Facilitates communication between the Laboratory and Medical Staff and other Hospital Departments.
• Notifies supervisors of unusual requests to ensure optimal resource use and quality care.
• Performs computer functions as necessary according to job duties.
• Teaches new employees and students in laboratory sciences.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Laboratory Services or designer.
