Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform routine and specialized testing across bacteriology, hematology, chemistry, immunology and serology under the Laboratory Manager. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety and continuous quality improvement.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology/CLS with MT/CLS certification or eligibility and prefers one year of clinical laboratory experience in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/CLS (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution.
• Or qualified under CLIA guidelines for MT/CLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological and serological tests on body fluids.
• Maintains required competencies across departments and demonstrates accuracy in testing and reporting.
• Ensures patient safety, infection control and quality control policies are followed.
