Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West seeks a Medical Technologist to provide clinical laboratory services under supervision, adhering to departmental and hospital standards of care. The role includes data collection for surveys, participating in performance improvement, and coordinating with Medical Staff and other departments.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and MLS/MLT certification within 1 year of starting. No travel is required and no prior experience is specified.

• Performs computer functions as necessary according to job duties.
• Teach new employees and students in the theory and procedures of laboratory sciences.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Laboratory Services or designer

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Director or Laboratory Services, the Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.
