• Associate degree required in medical technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred in medical technology
• Minimum 1 year MT experience preferred
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview
• Generalist license in blood bank/serology/chemistry/hematology/microbiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate laboratory testing and analyze proficiency samples
• Take department ownership in supervisor's absence
• Complete all records and documentation for patient results
• Perform stat procedures within turnaround times
• Use judgment in interpreting patient results and delta checks
• Review pending logs and communicate workload to relief staff
• Perform quality control procedures and handle all critical specimens
